From the Artist
I begin usually with a vague intention and as the medium starts to dry on the canvas, there are certain forms appearing whether a landscape or a silhouette of a woman which would guide me along the way. My work often includes bold energetic brushstrokes, palette knife work or soft layers of blended paint or sometimes heavy build-up of layers of paint. Over the last 20 years I have been working in my studio, exhibiting in Paris and surrounding villages. Some of my proudest moments were two medals earned, one given by the Congressman Yves Jego for "La Courtisane" and the other by the regional Adviser for Cultural Affairs for "Le Declin" .
